Across from the amphitheater was the café Aux 3 Gaules, referring to Caesar's tripartite division of Gaul (Gallia est omnis divisa in partes tres). Caesar's portrait is part of the café's logo, and the street itself is called Montée de l'Amphithéâtre (Amphitheater Ascent.)
