Amphitheater Selfie Zone at Nîmes

While the amphitheater was undergoing cleaning in 2019, some of the scaffolding was masked at the ground level with explanatory panels and images. This section was entitled "Espace Selfie" and featured emblems associated with Nîmes, all shown within the amphitheater's archways: a bull (referring to the bull fights now staged in the amphitheater), a recently excavated Neptune statue (on display at the museum across the street), and a crocodile (featured on Roman coins minted at Nîmes). Above each emblem is the phrase "Nîmes: Vivez l'Expérience" which translates literally to "Nîmes: Live the Experience."
